  • Stay away from processed foods.
  • Eat more lean meats.
  • Eat healthy fats.
  • Stick to your daily calorie needs.

Treatments for Double Chin

If your double chin is triggered by genetics, exercise to tighten the chin area may help. But you can also get faster results with the following procedures:

Also referred to as liposculpture, this treatment uses heat or liposuction to melt away fat and shape the skin.  Lipolysis only deals with fat and doesn’t remove excess skin or improve its elasticity.

This is a minimally invasive procedure that introduces compounds that dissolve fat through a series of injections. You may need 20 or more injections to treat a double chin per treatment and you can have as many as 6 treatments.

Kybella is another non invasive procedure to treat double chin by killing fat cells using Deoxycholic acid injection.

Final thoughts

You need to be patient when trying to get rid of a double chin unless you opt for liposuction or lipolysis. Depending on the amount of fat that needs to be eliminated, it may take a few months before you see significant results.
