What Causes Dry Hair?

1. Homemade hot oil treatment

2. Egg yolk and water treatment

Egg yolk conditions and moisturizes the hair shaft. Simply remove the yolk of two eggs and mix with 3 tablespoons of water. Apply onto the hair and massage for a few minutes. Leave for 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

3. Honey, eggs and yogurt hair mask.

Honey has moisturizing properties as well as antioxidants to prevent hair damage. Eggs on the other hand is a rich source of protein needed for hair growth, while the probiotics in yogurt can boost the anagen phase of the hair follicles to give your hair a healthy shine. To prepare this mask, mix 2 whole eggs, 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Mix thoroughly until it forms a paste. Apply to your hair in sections and massage gently. Then leave on the hair for about 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

4. Avocado banana hair mask

Avocado can seal in moisture in the hair while banana can improve the hair’s elasticity and make them stronger. To make this mask you’ll need 1 extra ripe banana and 1 ripe avocado. Dice and mash them together until smooth. Then apply onto the hair in sections and massage for 5-10 minutes. Leave on the hair for 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

5. Mayonnaise treatment

If you want hair that’s soft, smooth and manageable, you should try applying mayo. It’s especially helpful for dry and damaged hair. Simply apply the mayonnaise on wet hair and massage gently. Cover your hair with a towel or a shower cap and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse with water.
