10 Home Remedies for Shiny Nails

This mixture of honey, eggs, and milk will make your nails hard with extra protein and calcium. Just beat two eggs into a bowl, then add in a tablespoon of honey and one-fourth of a cup of milk and stir well. Let your nail soak in the product for at least ten minutes before rinsing well. It is also a good idea to apply cuticle oil after each use so that your cuticles don’t dry out from the eggs. 

3. Oily Nails

This organic recipe is made completely out of oils, three kinds to be exact. First gather a small bottle for storage and use. Add ten drops of lemon essential oil, twenty drops of lavender oil, and two tablespoons of almond oil to the bottle and shake it up for about a minute.  Massage the mixture to your nails several times a week to help them grow long and strong! Combine 5 drops Frankincense Oil 5 drops Myrrh Oil, 1 Tbsp. Jojoba Oil and massage over entire nail bed and cuticles. Do not wash off. Rub on nails 2-3 times a week.

8. EVOO Nail Whitener

The baking soda in this natural nail whitener gently scrubs away discoloration and stains, while the lemon juice whitens and the olive oil conditions and moisturizes cuticles and nails.

Mix 1 tbsp. baking soda, 2 tsp. olive oil (preferably extra-virgin), 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice together in a small bowl to form a gritty paste. Apply a small amount to fingers and/or toenails and scrub with a nail brush. When finished, rinse with warm water.

9. Eat Less Sugar and Gluten
